Introduction: Medical Documentation and Secretarial Services covers the duties of organizing patient appointment services, performing admission procedures, informing patients about the functioning of the institution and medical services, keeping patient records, conducting communication and correspondence services in administrative and medical units, archiving patient files and other documents and reports deemed necessary with scientific methods and presenting them to service, classifying and coding diseases-procedures and health-related problems according to the determined international classification systems, compiling data related to medical statistics and analyzing them with scientific methods and periodically reporting the results to the relevant parties.
The main purpose of the Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program is to train medical secretaries needed by health institutions and organizations in the field of medical documentation and secretarial services.
Job Opportunities: Graduates work in medical units such as clinics, polyclinics, laboratories, operating rooms, emergency services in private and public health institutions as well as in administrative units such as health boards, patient admissions, and patient file archives.
